In De Vermaning in Den Hoorn, jazz singer Ola Rud performs together with pianist Pietro Aloi. Rud has a warm, distinctive voice and, together with Aloi, presents an atmospheric jazz program full of emotion and musicality. In the NH Church in Den Hoorn, wind ensemble Nieuwe Maten performs with a program featuring works by Beethoven and Dvořák, among others. The ensemble consists of a large wind section led by Herman Draaisma and is coming to Texel for the 12th year. The men of Pepervlaay provide their own surprising answer to that question in De Vermaning. Familiar melodies are given a new twist: sometimes literally translated, sometimes freely interpreted, but always multi-part, atmospheric, and performed with joy.
