1 September 2026 to 20 September 2026 At De Vermaning in Den Hoorn, you can visit the exhibition The Sea, featuring work by Texel artist Cobie Bremer. The sea is an important source of inspiration in her work. Waves in water and sand, changing colours and the play of light and shadow all return in her art. The Wadden area, tidal channels, creeks, mudflats and salt marshes also play a part. Using wool and silk, Cobie Bremer creates soft, rounded shapes and continues to explore the possibilities of felting. This church is well hidden: from the road you have no idea that there is a church on Diek. This is due to its history, De Vermaning was built as a hidden church for the Mennonite congregation. Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
