Friday, August 22nd to Sunday, August 24th, 2025 Texel International Airport is hosting the largest fly-in in the Netherlands, with hundreds of aircraft from across Europe participating. The airport's unique location makes a flight to Texel unique for every pilot. Participants from various countries (particularly Belgium, England, Germany, and France) travel to Texel especially for this event. This gives the Texel Fly-in an international character. If the flying weather is good, around 200 to 250 aircraft are expected. There will also be a lively air fair with stands. Texel International Airport has one of the longest and strongest grass runways in Europe. It is located on the Postweg in De Cocksdorp. Watching planes There are many possibilities at Texel International Airport. Watch planes, take a scenic flight over Texel, have a nice lunch, take a tandem jump or take a look at the Aviation and War Museum. The jobs The runway 22-04 has an official length of 1,115 meters. From ditch to ditch (obstacle-free) the length is even 1,235 meters. In addition, the airport also has a crosswind runway, runway 13-31. At 630 meters (ditch-to-ditch: 690 metres), this runway is significantly shorter than the 'long' runway, but very welcome in strong north-west or south-east winds.
