Friday, April 3, 2026 The Protestant churches come together to commemorate the suffering of Christ during the week leading up to Easter. On Good Friday, the Passion narrative is recounted, interspersed with song and music. Anyone who wants to know why Easter is such a special celebration is warmly welcome to attend this solemn service. Hoornder kerkje
The most engraved church on the island is undisputed: the Hoornder church. Unlike other churches, this church is located just outside the village, with a beautiful Texel landscape surrounding it. Wedding location The church is a popular location to get married. Many couples fall for the charm of the church. Curious whether it could also be a wedding location for you? The church is open weekly in the summer. Summer evening concerts The acoustics in this church make the space extremely suitable for musical performances.
