Den Hoorn has a long-standing tradition of hosting a lively market during the summer months. Every Thursday from July 3rd to August 28th, you can visit the Hoornder Donderdagmarkt (Hoorn Thursday Market) in the charming Herenstraat and Klif district. It's an atmospheric, interesting market with plenty to see and buy, from Texel products to curiosities. Villagers also offer a variety of items for sale, giving you the opportunity to pick up something special at a reasonable price. This Thursday, August 21st, during the Hoorndermarkt, the band Do You Remember will be playing old-fashioned sing-along songs on the terrace of De Bank cafe from 2:00 PM. A visit to the market can also be perfectly combined with a tour of the picturesque village of Den Hoorn, its famous white church, and its old warehouses. There's also an art route.
