Tuesday 8 July, 19 August and 9 September 2025 This summer, the Zomerkerk will once again be organising surprising concerts in the Texel churches, performed by professional musicians. Twelve summer evenings long. 8 July Pianist Sterre Hond and flutist Firiël Werners will take you on a sensory journey through impressionistic sound worlds and classical depth. The programme includes works by: Debussy, Gaubert, Bozza, Piazzolla, Ian Clarke, Fazıl Say, Bartók, and works by Sterre Hond herself! 19 August Pianist Kanako Inoue and violinist Ingrid Lubbers will experience a musical journey through the world of keys, guided by the scales around the note D. In this concert you will hear how composers have consciously chosen a key throughout the centuries to say something specific. Be surprised by the contrasts between these sound worlds and come and listen to how D sings, cries and shines. September 9 Annemieke Corstens - Violin, Marjolein Dispa - Viola, Ceciel Strouken - Cello, and Daniel Kramer - Piano. A varied program with J. Haydn's Divertimento in G major for string trio and J. Brahms' piano quartet in g minor. The last of the 4 parts is the beautiful Rondo alla Zingarese: the part that everyone is waiting for and that they can look forward to enormously; the title speaks for itself!
