IVN Kinderlezing over zeespiegelstijging
Tuesday, 30 April 2024 Scientist Evy Gobbens from the Nioz comes to the library. Scientists are very curious! At NIOZ, they like to know everything about the sea and what is related to it. Evy Gobbens studies the effect of sea level rise on the birds and shellfish living in the Wadden Sea. She will take us through her research. We will learn about the birds and the shellfish. The binoculars will also be ready again. And we will play an exciting game! This lecture is organised by the Nature Association IVN Texel in collaboration with the library and NIOZ and is aimed at curious children aged about 8 to 12. There is a public library on Texel. This is located in Den Burg. Facilities You can use various facilities at the library on Texel. For example, wifi, computers, printing and/or copying facilities for a small fee, work/study places and there is a reading table. For tourists Tourists can borrow books and other materials with the holiday pass. This pass is valid for 4 weeks and you can borrow 10 books at a time. How nice is that! So you don't have to carry your books in your suitcase. You must bring your ID with you when registering.
