Kamerkoor Zestien Wad
24 October 2026 Chamber choir Zestien Wad celebrates its 25th anniversary with the jubilee concert Een zee van klank. Led by Wim van Herk, the choir performs a selection of the most beautiful choral music from the past 25 years. The concert takes place in the Burghtkerk in Den Burg. One day later, the choir performs at the Petrus- en Pauluskerk in Den Helder. De Burght kerk
The large church that you can already see in the wider area of Den Burg is De Burgt church. This is the church of the Protestant congregation. A service is held here on Sundays, the church is also used as a location for events. Climbing the church tower In the summer months, the church tower is open on certain days. From the high tower you get a beautiful view over Den Burg and the surrounding landscape. Event venue The church is regularly the stage for exhibitions, performances and memorial services.
