Discover the Hoge Berg nature reserve on a covered wagon ride! Coachman Martin has lived here almost his entire life; he has known this unique area since 1959. During the 2.5-hour tour, you'll ride through one of the most beautiful parts of Texel, the Hoge Berg. This authentic tour takes you past old farms, beautiful country lanes, and through flocks of sheep. You'll visit areas of nature normally off-limits, with the most stunning views and vistas! Along the way, we'll stop for coffee/tea and treats. Martin grew up among horses. Back then, there were no tractors, and all the work was done with horses. At 'Kikkertsparadise Puur Texel', they have been breeding Fjord horses, among other animals, since 1959, and now they occasionally have foals. Martin and Ellen also own a sheep farm and can tell you all about it. Days: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Times: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Cost: Adults €25, children aged 3-12 €15, and children under 3 free. Due to limited space, dogs weighing more than 30 kg are not permitted. Dogs are free. You can also book a private tour.
