Saturday, February 21 and 28, 2026 Come and enjoy crafting and make something creative with the creative rangers from OERRR. Painting, drawing, clay: it's all possible. The activity always has a connection to nature; sometimes we'll even go outside. The rangers will provide materials and guidance. Nothing is required, anything is allowed. It's mainly about the fun of creating, not about a perfect result. We bring the outdoors in and the indoors out. For whom? This activity is for children aged 5 to 15. OERRR members receive a discount. Reserve your spot in advance, or register well in advance at the welcome desk of Nature Center De Marel and join in. • This activity can be done both indoors and outdoors. • Wear warm clothes and don't wear your newest outfit. At the Bird Information Centre in De Cocksdorp you are at the right address for information about bird watching, photography and filming on Texel. You can also go here for binoculars and other bird products. Information about birds In the centre you will find all kinds of information about birds. Such as the most recent sightings of birds on the island. In the centre all current sightings are clearly displayed on a large map. There is also an extensive library with bird books. Beautiful bird films are played on the large LCD TVs. And in the display cases there are many stuffed birds, which you can view up close. Shop and excursions In the Bird Information Centre you will also find a shop with nature conservation articles and binoculars. You can go here for good binoculars from Swarovski, Zeiss and Bynolyt. You will receive extensive advice about these. You are also at the right address for bird DVDs, nature books, nest boxes and feeding systems for your garden.
