Workshop Sculpting in soapstone
During the Soapstone Sculpting workshop, you will learn how to work a stone using various tools. It is exciting to see a unique new form emerge. Soapstone is a relatively soft type of stone available in various shades of pink, white, green, and black. The workshop is for 4 to 6 people, or from 2 people on Wednesdays. Ages from approx. 6 years. The workshop is led by artist Door Dogger, who is originally from Texel. She lived and worked in Amsterdam on the Western Islands and graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in 1995. Nowadays, Door is on Texel and creates art from beachcombing materials. In addition, she makes colorful drawings and paintings. Times: Wednesdays and Fridays from 14:00 - 16:30. Also possible on other days upon request. Please contact Door Dogger for this. Prices: adult € 47.50, child (up to 18 years) € 24.00. Price includes your choice of sculpting stone (soapstone) and a drink (coffee, tea, or lemonade). The studio of visual artist Door Dogger is located in the harbour town of Oudeschild. Versatility Door is a versatile artist. She uses products from nature for the artworks she creates. She creates eco-art by recycling used products. Door makes abstract paintings and also does graphic work. Door's work can be admired in her studio. Workshop If you want to give your creativity free rein, you can follow a workshop with Door. Painting, drawing or sculpting, it is all possible. Door organizes art workshops in the open air and in her studio. A fully catered day including lunch is also possible. Door also gives tailor-made workshops for groups, please contact her for this.
