Wednesday, 24 April 2024 Actually, Frans Hals needs little introduction. He left a large oeuvre, his work can be found in prominent Dutch collections and he was featured on the ten guilder note. Moreover, when the name Frans Hals comes to mind, most people quickly think of his style: loose brushstrokes and rosy, smiling faces. From 16 February, the Rijksmuseum will display some 50 works by Frans Hals, most of which are loans from other collections.
