Come and listen to exciting and exciting beachcombing stories at the Flora Beachcombing Museum. The beachcomber will tell you all about beachcombing and show you special finds! Come to Flora Beachcombing Museum, the BEST family museum on Texel. Discover the maritime past and present and experience the exciting world of beachcombing. There are various exhibitions and films about shipwrecks, container shipping, the KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution), and beachcombing. Children can enjoy the exciting beachcomber experience, and there's a fun playground with play towers, swings, a family seesaw, and a 30-meter-long zipline! There are also various games, and you can ride in a real rescue capsule. A new addition is the TESO pavilion, topped with the wheelhouse of the former ferry MS Schulpengat. Take a journey through the history of Texel's Own Steamboat Company. In this interactive family exhibition, listen to stories and watch beautiful films. Step into the exciting experience and climb into the wheelhouse. Welcome aboard! Beachcombers' Museum Flora: a surprising Texel experience for all ages! About 3 kilometers outside De Koog, on the Pontweg, you will find the Maritime and Beachcomber Museum Flora. Exhibition Have you always wondered what washes ashore on the Texel beach? You have come to the right place at Flora to find the answer. The museum has various themed rooms where countless items found on the beach are on display. Children on a discovery There is also plenty for children to discover. There is a scavenger hunt with fun games, workshops, and once the children have had their fill, there is a playground where they can really let off steam. You can have something to eat and drink in the museum café after your visit.
