Exhibition The container shipping

In Maritiem- en Juttersmuseum Flora you can view the temporary exhibition on container shipping. In recent years, all kinds of things have washed up on the beach on Texel. Including shoes, cosmetics, cigarettes and much more. A lady from Texel knitted a sweater from bales of cotton, which is also on display in the exhibition. Recently the container ship MSC Zoë lost over 300 containers near Terschelling. Various items were also washed ashore on Texel; including children's jackets, car parts and chairs. Some of these items can be seen in the exhibition The container shipping. The exhibition is free for visitors to the museum. Opening hours: daily from 10 am - 5 pm. At Christmas and New Year's Day from 11 am - 4 pm.
