Model trains on Texel? Yes, indeed! Discover the hidden railway history At first glance, a model train club on Texel may seem a bit unexpected - after all, there are no trains on the island. But did you know that there were railway lines on Texel during the Second World War? In the clubhouse of our Texel model train club, you will discover a detailed model of the island, on which the railway network from that time comes to life. In addition, in a caravan you will find a special impression of the railway at Oudeschild, which has already received much praise at national and international model railway events. Furthermore, you can view various model railway scales in our permanent exhibition space, including H0, N and Z. Come along and be surprised by the forgotten railway history of Texel and the world of model building! Opening hours: Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 PM to approximately 10:00 PM.
