Sunday 22 June 2025 Adri de Boer (1956) sings ‘yn syn memmetaal’ and tours the north of the country with his Frisian songs. He waves away the ‘objection’ that only a few people on Texel speak Frisian. Because why wouldn’t Frisian be possible, while we listen to other languages that we don’t always understand that well? The program is full of listening songs, sometimes melancholic, then light and cheerful, but always from the heart. Many songs are his own, but he doesn’t shy away from adaptations either. He released several albums and won the Frisian song festival several times. Location: De Vermaning Time: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Costs: Free entrance with voluntary contribution.

Access through a secret gate The gate of Diek 11 gives you access to the path that takes you to the church. The church is hidden behind a row of houses and in the backyard of Diek 11, as it were. Exhibition space The church is no longer used for services of the Baptist congregation. It is now a place where exhibitions and activities are organized.
