Pasen in fragmenten
Saturday, April 1, 2023 Storyteller Kees Posthumus and musician Henk van Glabbeek perform their show "Easter in Fragments" at the Burght. The performance consists of six poignant stories and songs in which different main characters tell their version of the story of Easter, from the miraculous rising to the story of the Emmaus disciples. This creates a varied performance in which humor and seriousness alternate. The Easter story comes closer as eyewitnesses tell it anew and in a contemporary way. After the performance a voluntary contribution to the costs will be asked. Time: 4 pm to 5 pm Cost: Voluntary contributions desired

Maartenskerk
Maartenskerk
This protestant church is located in the middle of Oosterend. The Maartenskerk dates from the eleventh century and is therefore the oldest church on the island. Open The church can be visited from May to October. You can then receive an explanation about the church and there is an opportunity to light a candle and take a moment of rest and meditation. Historic Area The church is the center of a village with many old houses. It is worth walking through Oosterend on foot and to see the historic buildings.
