Saturday 10 May 2025 Come to the KNRM station in Oudeschild and learn all about the KNRM! Lifeboat Day is an annual event where lifeboat stations in the Netherlands open their doors to the public. On this day, donors get the unique opportunity to sail on a KNRM lifeboat and gain insight into the important work that the volunteers do. As a donor to the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM), you can enjoy an exciting boat trip. People who are not donors can become donors that day and sail along immediately. In doing so, you support the KNRM. It is a great opportunity to meet the rescuers behind the scenes, ask questions and learn more about the techniques and technologies used to save lives at sea. In Oudeschild, on the quay at the boathouse, there is the Coastal Emergency Response Unit (KHV) to view and a stall with fun and new KNRM merchandise from the rescue shop with which you also support the rescue work. Everyone who cares about the KNRM and is interested is welcome! The KNRM rescues people and animals in distress at sea or in the large inland waters. We have been doing this voluntarily, selflessly and independently since 1824. 365 days a year. Location: Boothuis Oudeschild, Haven 24 Times: 10 - 4pm
