Writing workshop 'Generation after generation'
Saturday, March 14, 2026 Texel Library, in collaboration with Femke Kegel, is organizing an inspiring writing workshop on Saturday, March 14, around the theme of "My Generation." Is there a painting, sculpture, vase, piece of jewelry, or other object in your family that has been in the family for generations? Register for the workshop and write a short text or simple poem about the object's story; what does it say about you, about previous owners, about use, memory, and imagination? And what would it say if it had a voice? The workshop is accessible and suitable for everyone: no writing experience is required. Inspiration will come naturally through the exercises and the group. It's not about spelling or grammar, but about writing flow. Saturday, March 14, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

There is a public library on Texel. This is located in Den Burg. Facilities You can use various facilities at the library on Texel. For example, wifi, computers, printing and/or copying facilities for a small fee, work/study places and there is a reading table. For tourists Tourists can borrow books and other materials with the holiday pass. This pass is valid for 4 weeks and you can borrow 10 books at a time. How nice is that! So you don't have to carry your books in your suitcase. You must bring your ID with you when registering.
