Sinterklaas reading afternoon with Monica Maas
Wednesday, November 5, 2025 The Texel Tourist Information Office is organizing a fun Sinterklaas reading afternoon with Monica Maas, the author and illustrator of the famous Bobbi books. A delightful afternoon full of stories, treats, and Sinterklaas cheer! Between 2:30 and 3:30 PM, Monica will read from Bobbi's cheerful Sinterklaas stories in the festively decorated Tourist Information Office shop at Emmalaan 66 in Den Burg. The shop is fully decorated for Sinterklaas, and Sinterklaas songs will be played. All children will receive a special gift this afternoon: the Bobbi "Sinterklaas to Texel" countdown calendar, specially designed by Monica Maas for the Texel Tourist Information Office and the Municipality of Texel. Anyone who wants can have the calendar signed by Monica herself! During the reading, there will, of course, be treats: gingerbread nuts from Bakker Timmer, hot chocolate, and lemonade.
