Rent a Cadweazle at Camping Kogerstrand The Texel Foundation for the Integration of the Disabled (SIGT) manages a number of (self-propelled) beach wheelchairs available for use at the beach pavilions. It is possible to rent a Cadweazle at Camping Kogerstrand (De Koog). This makes the beach on Texel even more accessible for people with disabilities and the elderly who wish to drive independently along the waterline. Please note: DO NOT drive through the water! Times: daily between 09:00 and 17:00. You book a one-hour time slot. Price: €20.00 per 1 hour (for Strandhopper/Cadweazle). Questions about the wheelchairs? Email info@sigttexel.nl. This beach wheelchair makes the Texel beach more accessible for people with a disability and older visitors who want to drive independently along the shoreline. It is a practical way to enjoy the beach and the sea. Making the beach more accessible With the Cadweazle, you drive independently along the waterline. The wheelchair is meant for use on the beach, not in the water. Please keep this in mind during your visit. Rent by time slot You rent the Cadweazle for a one-hour time slot. Rental is available daily between 11:00 and 20:00. The price is €20.00 per hour. Practical information Tickets are available via the ‘View times’ button.
