Rent a Cadweazle (beach wheelchair) at Kogerstrand

Rent a Cadweazle at Camping Kogerstrand The Texel Foundation for the Integration of the Disabled (SIGT) manages a number of (self-propelled) beach wheelchairs available for use at the beach pavilions. It is possible to rent a Cadweazle at Camping Kogerstrand (De Koog). This makes the beach on Texel even more accessible for people with disabilities and the elderly who wish to drive independently along the waterline. Please note: DO NOT drive through the water! Times: daily between 09:00 and 17:00. You book a one-hour time slot. Price: €20.00 per 1 hour (for Strandhopper/Cadweazle). Questions about the wheelchairs? Email info@sigttexel.nl. Een geweldige ervaring

Het was 10 jaar geleden dat ik zo dicht op het strand en bij de zee was. Wat een gelukkige dag van onze vakantie.

Erg fijn om zelf over het strand te kunnen rijden.

Overal waar wij geweest zijn is een strandrolstoel gratis te reserveren ook een elektrische. Ontvangst bij de receptie van camping de koog was erg vriendelijk en enthousiast, maar de jongelui die er werken zijn niet goed of voldoende geïnformeerd of opgeleid om instructie te geven.

Tolle Erfahrung, mal wieder am Strand mobbil gewesen zu sein.

Jetzt weiß ich durch den Cadweazle besonders zu schätzen, was ich durch meine Krankheit (PNP) ca. 10 Jahre vermißt habe. Mein nunmehr 56. Aufenthalt auf Texel hatte wieder etwas Außergewöhnliches.
