Rent a Cadweazle (beach wheelchair) at Kogerstrand

Rent a Cadweazle at Camping Kogerstrand The Texel Foundation for the Integration of the Disabled (SIGT) manages a number of (self-propelled) beach wheelchairs available for use at the beach pavilions. It is possible to rent a Cadweazle at Camping Kogerstrand (De Koog). This makes the beach on Texel even more accessible for people with disabilities and the elderly who wish to drive independently along the waterline. Please note: DO NOT drive through the water! Times: daily between 09:00 and 17:00. You book a one-hour time slot. Price: €20.00 per 1 hour (for Strandhopper/Cadweazle). Questions about the wheelchairs? Email info@sigttexel.nl. Het sturen is lastig ivm de giga grote draaicirkel. Verder heel fijn en comfortabel.

Kort samengevat: een onvergetelijke ervaring

Het vorig jaar huurden wij de Cadweazle bij de vuurtoren. Dat was al een prachtige ervaring. Nu, bij De Koog, hebben wij alles nog eens dunnetjes overgedaan en daar hebben wij geen moment spijt van gekregen. Als alles goed blijft gaan dan komen wij het volgend jaar weer op herhaling en dat doen wij dan weer bij De Koog.

Heerlijk langs de branding

Samen ‘n strandwandeling, ik op de Cadweazle, de ander er naast. Zo’n groot genot om dit samen weer te kunnen doen. De cadweazle is zeer krachtig en stuurt je behoedzaam door het mulle zand (en is qua snelheid veilig begrensd). Twijfel niet, doen!
