March 13, 2026 to April 19, 2026 Galerie Posthuys is hosting a solo presentation by Tjeerd Landman. A new collection of Texel landscapes is on display in the conservatory. His landscapes and seascapes exude tranquility. No storms or wild waves, but rather restraint, a restrained silence, and the anticipation of something yet to come. Striking in this presentation is the contrast between misty, wintry paintings and distinctly sunny, summery scenes. The exhibition is part of the anniversary year in which Galerie Posthuys celebrates its 20th anniversary with various exhibitions. Time: Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Galerie Posthuys in De Koog is not a traditional gallery with classical works of art, but a meeting place where artists, visitors and buyers come together. Contemporary art Galerie Posthuys presents contemporary art. Some artists take the landscape and nature as their starting point, such as the dunes, beach and polders. With other artists, the starting point is less recognisable, but mainly tangible. Rhythm, handwriting and colour are more prominent here. The gallery has four rooms, each with its own exhibition. They regularly exhibit new work and can always be seen in the stockzolder space. In addition, ten new artists are introduced each year. Collaboration and activities Galerie Posthuys also has partnerships with other companies. For example, the gallery has been providing the art in Texelsuites since 2006. The exhibition of works of art in Bij Jef is also made by the gallery. Information about these works of art is available in the gallery. Some additional activities worth mentioning are the annual Haringnegendaagse (in June) and the open studio of Maurice Christo van Meijel – every first Sunday of the month during the summer period.
