The TESO pavilion at Maritime and Beachcombers Museum Flora is open! Today our TESO storyteller is present, this former TESO employee can tell special stories. Visit this unique building and take a journey through the history of Texel's Eigen stoomboot Onderneming. In this family exhibition you can listen to stories, watch beautiful films and play the 'student game', among other things. Imagine yourself in the maritime world of the ferry service. Step into the 'old salon' and experience an exciting journey in which all sorts of things happen... do you dare? Upstairs you can visit the wheelhouse of the former ferry ms Schulpengat. Experience here how the captain sailed the boat back and forth every day. Millions of tourists and residents sailed the Schulpengat to and from Texel from 1990 to 2015. Welcome aboard! Come to the best family museum on Texel: Beachcombers Museum Flora. Discover the maritime past and present here, discover the tough world of beachcombing. Open daily. Times: Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 - approx. 15:00. Cost: Free for visitors to the museum.

About 3 kilometers outside De Koog, on the Pontweg, you will find the Maritime and Beachcomber Museum Flora. Exhibition Have you always wondered what washes ashore on the Texel beach? You have come to the right place at Flora to find the answer. The museum has various themed rooms where countless items found on the beach are on display. Children on a discovery There is also plenty for children to discover. There is a scavenger hunt with fun games, workshops, and once the children have had their fill, there is a playground where they can really let off steam. You can have something to eat and drink in the museum café after your visit.
