Enjoy the dynamism and versatility of Texel's nature! Two enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides will take you through De Muy and De Slufter. In De Muy, various songbirds forage in groves and shrubs. Low above the wetlands, several swallow species prey on insects. In the air, cormorants, spoonbills and great egrets can be seen commuting between the breeding colony and their foraging areas. Due to the open connection with the North Sea, De Slufter has its own distinctive flora and fauna. The plants that survive each have their own system in their fight against the salty seawater. Numerous different waders forage for their food in the creeks and the eiders are preparing for a new breeding season. Times: See overview in the calendar for the exact days and times. Costs: €30 per person. This amount will benefit the Texel Bird Island Foundation, which, among other things, realizes new bird viewing points on Texel. Registration for this excursion is required.
