Join Rodny Stolk – young birdwatcher, nature enthusiast and socially involved Texel resident. During this two-hour excursion, Rodny will take you on a walk full of surprises. He will show you and let you hear a wide range of bird species, and will tell you the often special stories behind these birds. But it doesn't stop at bird recognition. Rodny also shares his view of the world around birdwatching: from different types of birdwatchers to deeper questions about experiencing nature and nature conservation. What is nature actually? And what does it mean to be part of it? Rodny is coordinator of the National Park Dunes of Texel, active in the foundation Rights of Nature and involved in the Dutch bird world in several ways. His fascination for birds goes hand in hand with his concern for nature and a hopeful view of the future. Practical: Depending on the number of participants and the transport options, Rodny will choose a suitable location, rich in bird species. The starting and ending point is always at the Bird Information Centre. You will receive the best binoculars, and afterwards we will discuss the species seen with a cup of coffee. Rodny will also share his best bird tips. On July 26 and August 8 a special theme excursion: Rodny also focuses specifically on the international movement of 'Rights of Nature', where nature is given a voice or right in various ways. The excursion will always take place in principle, provided there are enough participants. If there are insufficient registrations, you will be called the evening before at the latest.
