Led by a passionate guide, take a refreshing walk through the beautiful Waalenburg nature reserve. This time of year is ideal for spotting the last wintering birds as well as the first spring species. The vast wet meadows, numerous creeks and peaceful atmosphere combined with an abundance of food create the perfect conditions for bird watching. From waterbirds such as kola and barnacle geese, wigeons and teals to waders such as black-tailed godwits, golden plovers and ruffs. The first white wagtails have already arrived and skylarks are also starting to make themselves heard again. You also have the chance to spot birds of prey, such as the peregrine falcon, goshawk or different species of harrier, such as the marsh and blue. Times: from 1pm - 3pm.
