Summer evening concert in the Waddenkerk
Tuesday 16 September This summer, the Zomerkerk is organising surprising concerts performed by professional musicians. The Waddenkerk in De Cocksdorp will also be hosting a concert by Dubbel en Dwars: Loes Bakker (transverse flute/tin whistle), Reinout Weiffenbach (guitar) and Cees Dito (accordion). This is the last concert in the series. Times: the concert starts at 20:15. Costs: admission is free. Please take into account a voluntary cash contribution afterwards; there is no PIN option.

Waddenkerk
The Waddenkerk is a stone's throw from the Wadden Sea. This church dates from 1841. The church is used by the Wadden Community, a Reformed church community (PKN). New church This church is still quite 'new'. The Eierlandse polder dried up in 1835 and made way for the village of De Cocksdorp. Four years later, the construction of this Reformed church started. Where other churches on the island have a long history, this church of De Cocksdorp is one of the youngest on Texel.
