Summer evening concert in the Waddenkerk
Tuesday, September 8, 2026 This summer, too, the Zomerkerk is organizing weekly concerts on Texel for thirteen summer evenings. Trio da Capo will perform a program for string trio at the Waddenkerk in De Cocksdorp. The trio consists of Annemieke Corstens (violin), Marjolein Dispa (viola), and Ceciel Strouken (cello) and is a regular guest at the Summer Evening Concerts. The program includes Bach’s Sinfonias in arrangement, Mozart’s Little Divertimento, Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin, and Max Reger’s Second String Trio. Waddenkerk
The Waddenkerk is a stone's throw from the Wadden Sea. This church dates from 1841. The church is used by the Wadden Community, a Reformed church community (PKN). New church This church is still quite 'new'. The Eierlandse polder dried up in 1835 and made way for the village of De Cocksdorp. Four years later, the construction of this Reformed church started. Where other churches on the island have a long history, this church of De Cocksdorp is one of the youngest on Texel.
