Wind Festival Texel
Saturday, September 26th to Sunday, September 27th, 2026 The annual wind festival will be held on De Koog beach this weekend. The wind is ever-present on the island, and this is celebrated in a magnificent way during the wind festival. Numerous colorful kites adorn the sky above the beach. From small to enormous and in a wide variety of shapes. Bears, whales, octopuses. You name it. The spectacle lasts two days and can be seen from Paal 20 to Paal 21. Don't forget your camera. Beach pavilion Paal 17 Aan Zee is a restaurant located on the beach of paal 17, close to De Koog. It is a sustainably built pavilion with a modern look. Fresh products The pavilion has a very extensive menu. Fresh seasonal products are used in the kitchen and many Texel products are also used. Of anything and everything At Beach Pavilion Paal 17 Aan Zee you can get a breath of fresh air, read a newspaper, sunbathe, do water sports, celebrate, barbecue, get married, dine or stroll. It is therefore an official wedding location on Texel. The pavilion is easily accessible for the disabled. An electric beach wheelchair can be rented at pole 17.
