During this workshop, you'll paint in nature at beautiful, picturesque spots on Texel! Locations vary per workshop (think beach, dunes, forest, or village view). The exact location will be announced a few days before the workshop starts. This depends on the weather forecast. You'll start the afternoon by creating an initial sketch, determining the composition. You'll quickly develop your sketch in paint, focusing on color, form, and tone. Draw inspiration from the Impressionists, paying close attention to atmosphere and the light of the moment. You'll work with acrylic paint on panel. The group size is limited to nine participants, ensuring everyone receives ample attention. This workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced students. Because you'll be working in nature and may have to walk a distance, mobility is important. Please also consider your clothing. The locations are almost always near a place with restrooms. The workshop is led by Marleen Bakker. She is a painter and exhibits her paintings at venues such as Galerie Posthuys in De Koog. Please note: This workshop requires a minimum number of participants. If there are too few participants or the weather is bad, you will be notified in advance whether the workshop can take place. The minimum age is 14 years.
