September 5 to October 24, 2026 The Silver Camera exhibition is on display at the Burghtkerk in Den Burg. The exhibition showcases the best Dutch news photos from the past year, featuring work by the winners and nominees of the most important award for photojournalists in the Netherlands. The nominated multimedia projects and independent photography from the Storytelling category are also on view. The winner of this category is Tina Farifteh with her series Document Nederland: Asiel. The winner of the 2026 Silver Camera is Arie Kievit with his series Riots by the far right at a demonstration for a stricter asylum policy. Additionally, the photo of Princess Amalia by Remko de Waal is part of the exhibition. He won the Public Prize with this photo. In the picture, Princess Catharina-Amalia poses among soldiers during a ceremony at the Prins Bernhardkazerne in Amersfoort. Location: Burghtkerk, Den Burg Something extra special: in collaboration with VVV Texel, we organized a photo contest that attracted no fewer than 755 entries. The winning photo from Texel is, of course, also on display during the exhibition!
