Tuesday, August 25, 2026 This summer, too, the Zomerkerk is organizing a surprising concert every week in one of Texel's beautiful churches, performed by professional musicians. For thirteen summer evenings. Tonight, the Utrecht Student Choir performs at the De Burght Church in Den Burg. With the program *Door Weer en Wind* (Through Wind and Weather), the choir takes visitors on a journey through storms, sea shanties, love songs, and impressive choral works. De Burght kerk
The large church that you can already see in the wider area of Den Burg is De Burgt church. This is the church of the Protestant congregation. A service is held here on Sundays, the church is also used as a location for events. Climbing the church tower In the summer months, the church tower is open on certain days.
