ZomerBieb: leer alles over het wad
Wednesday, 9 August 2023 Scientist Dana Nolte, from NIOZ, will then visit the library. At NIOZ, research is done on the sea. Nolte is working there on a large mudflat research project. In the workshop, she takes the children through her work of taking samples, sorting them out in the lab, looking at them under the microscope and then processing the data. The children then get to help pick worms and crayfish from the samples. The Summer Library is suitable for children from 7 years old. Participation is completely free. Children can register via the website. Time: from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Cost: free, sign up via the library's website.

There is a public library on Texel. This is located in Den Burg. Facilities You can use various facilities at the library on Texel. For example, wifi, computers, printing and/or copying facilities for a small fee, work/study places and there is a reading table. For tourists Tourists can borrow books and other materials with the holiday pass. This pass is valid for 4 weeks and you can borrow 10 books at a time. How nice is that! So you don't have to carry your books in your suitcase. You must bring your ID with you when registering.
