Christmas concerts on Texel

During the Christmas period, there is plenty to do in our villages, especially when it comes to carols! There are various Christmas concerts, festivals and other musical events, perfect to get you in the festive mood.

Den Hoorn

The Hoornder church hosts 2 Christmas concerts, namely the Haarlem singing collective Barbers and Bischop and the Music Society D.E.K. Both have a varied programme of both well-known and traditional Christmas songs. In addition, the Smartlappenkoor organises an atmospheric Christmas Eve in village hall De Waldhoorn, led by Let de Ruyter and with Willem Moor on drums. There will also be a performance by musical theatre duo Hans Dagelaat & Esther Apituley in the church De Vermaning.

Oosterend

No fewer than three different Christmas events will be held at the Maartenskerk. Art school Artex is organising the Christmas Carols workshop. To show what the participants have learned, they will give a Christmas concert. Music Society Excelsior will also give a Christmas concert led by Niels Ket. There will also be a lecture by Geertje de Vries, with images, music and singing.

Den Burg

A Festival of Lessons and Carols will be sung by the Artex chamber choir in the Burghtkerk. During the Festival, Christmas songs will be sung based on English choral traditions. Not only the chamber choir, but also Artex's World Choir will give a Christmas concert in Artex's anteroom. During the concert, Christmas and winter songs will be sung from different countries accompanied by Folkband Folky Vibes.

De Cocksdorp

At Vakantiepark de krim in the theatre De Kiekendief, Artex's Popkoor will give a Christmas concert. They have an extensive programme of well-known and lesser-known Christmas songs. They are accompanied by Arlene Coyle and musical accompaniment comes from Jan Doedens on piano. In advance, you can also book a three-course Christmas dinner, catered by De Krim.

De Waal

In the Waalderkerk, singer Lauri Brons and pianist Elisabeth Waverijn will give a Christmas concert. During the concert, there will be guest performances by Manon Schooneman and Fleur Kuip.

Oudeschild

Also in Oudeschild, pianist Elisabeth Waverijn and singers Lauri Brons, Manon Schooneman and Fleur Kuip will give a Christmas concert. In the Museum Café of Museum Kaap Skil, you can enjoy polyphonic songs, solos and duets.
