Texel beef If you are near De Waal on any sunny, summer’s day, you are likely to see Texel cattle grazing in Hoogvliet Farm’s meadows. The Hin family who work Hoogvliet Farm like to graze their cattle in the open air as much as possible and that of course, enhances Texel’s charming landscape. We were awarded certification for our beef in 2011. All year round, calves of the Belgian Blue livestock are born here, raised here on the farm before being slaughtered at Texel abattoir in Oudeschild. The meat is packaged at our company premises, then frozen and sold.
