Museum Waelstee

In Agrarisch and Wagenmuseum Texel, located in an authentic bell-topped farmhouse, the emphasis was initially on preserving the history of farming life on Texel. Over the years, the Cultural History Museum has continued to expand its exhibition space, depot and workshop. With more than 1500 m² of exhibited collections, the museum now covers a multiple of its original surface. With the physical growth of the Cultural History Museum, the collection of the museum has also grown in width. The museum gives a versatile picture of life on Texel in the past. This development prompted the museum to be renamed Texel Cultural History Museum. Every year one of the central themes of Arable Farming, Pasture, Flower Bulb Cultivation or Transport is presented prominently in a different form. There is also an exhibition about the flood disaster in 1953 and the demonstration in 1976 to raise the dikes. Everything to see on a beautiful documentary. Finally we have the unique toys and dollhouse of the ladies Zeeman van Zeemansduin. The museum is open on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Museum opening timesFrom the first Tuesday in March to the autumn holidays: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.Sundays and public holidays from 1.30 pm to 5 pmclosed on Mondays Entrance fees:Adults: € 6.00Children: € 4.00 Toddlers have free access.Museum Waelstee (f / h Cultural History Museum Texel)Hogereind 61793 AG De Waal - Texel
