At Beach Pavilion Paal 9 you can enjoy the view and all the goodies that the island offers. Look around you and enjoy nature. A coastal area with a mind of its own and a sea that seems different every day. The beach pavilion has taken steps to reduce its ecological footprint. They have completely switched off gas, all equipment in the pavilion is electric. Waste flows are of course separated. The pavilion is heated in winter by means of a pellet stove. The origin of the products for the dishes is taken into account. The ice cream comes from the Novalishoeve, the cheese from Kaasboerderij Wezenspyk, the fries from the Hemmer farm and the fish comes from the North Sea. And the beef comes from the Hanenplas nature reserve, which is grazed by Black Angus cattle. In collaboration with Staatsbosbeheer Texel and an experienced cattle farmer, all the beef on the menu meets the '4 G's': the cattle are born; have grazed, are slaughtered and are eventually eaten on Texel. The kitchen brigade uses expertise and imagination to process the entire animal from head to tail in the dishes. That is why on the menu you will also find fries with stew in addition to the famous hamburger and 'the steak of the week'. In this way you get a varied, honest and sustainable piece of meat from Texel nature.
