Lodges De Waddenhof is located a short distance from the ferry port, on the Wadden side of Texel. Within the dike, along the Waddendijk, there are various special nature reserves that form an important breeding and foraging place for countless birds. You can cycle along beautifully. The harbor town of Oudeschild is about 6 kilometers away, with various shops, terraces and restaurants. You can also cycle outside the dykes with a view of the Wadden Sea. To the south, about 3.5 kilometers, is the artists' village of Den Hoorn, with beautiful streets and various galleries. Almost the entire west coast is housed in the Duinen van Texel National Park. Here you can cycle and walk.
