With centuries-old garden walls, sheep pens and rolling grasslands full of sheep and lambs, the Hoge Berg landscape reserve is one of those characteristic landscapes that are so typical of Texel. But its future is at stake.
High land prices threaten to cause the grassland to disappear. Sheep farmers can no longer purchase or lease grassland that becomes available. If that happens, we will not only lose the charm, nature and history of De Hoge Berg, but also another Texel icon: the Texelaar, our Texel sheep.
Fortunately, it is not too late: together we can ensure that this unique Texel landscape is preserved. With your help, Gebiedscoöperatie De Hoge Berg can purchase land and ensure that it remains grassland. This will keep the landscape intact and ensure that Texel sheep and lambs remain part of this cultural-historical area.

With your donation or investment, you contribute to:
Give a few square metres of Hoge Berg as a gift! This way, you can get others excited about this unique part of Texel. You can have the certificate sent directly to the recipient or to yourself.
