Oma's Huisje is located just outside the picturesque Oosterend on the east side of Texel. From the street you can walk through the picturesque streets with beautiful facades to the center. Around the church are some shops and restaurants. Various walking routes have been set out in and around Oosterend. Behind the dike you will find a small beach and the Wadden Sea. Within the dikes is the Vogelboulevard, a succession of small nature reserves and a popular resting place for birds. The photogenic polder mill Het Noorden is located in the area.
