From the hotel it is easy to walk the Sommeltjespad.
The Sommeltjes pad is a walking path near the village De Waal. It leads you through “tuunwallen” and fields of sheep, over the oldest part of Texel and through nature reserve Waalenburg. The Lieuw has made a walking path from Oosterend to de Slufter. This crossing, over mainly farmland, shows how the northern part of Texel was reclaimed.
