Nice holiday home in the vicinity of the sheep

The detached holiday home Calije is located near Den Burg in the heart of Texel at the end of a dead end road. Calije stands on the edge of the yard with the activity of the dairy sheep nearby. The living room has a sitting area with TV and a dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The storage room is equipped with washing machine and dryer. There is a separate toilet. There are two bedrooms on the top floor with box-spring beds and we ensure that the beds are made upon arrival. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. Holiday home Calije has a garden with a terrace including garden furniture and the car can be parked next to the house.

Holiday home Calije is located near Den Burg. Due to its central location on the island, this is an excellent starting point to explore Texel. You can walk in 15 minutes (by bike 5 minutes) to the center of Den Burg, the largest village on Texel. Here you will find cozy shops, terraces, cafés and restaurants. From the holiday home you can enjoy beautiful cycling and walking through the rural surroundings and the Hoge Berg area. The smallest village of De Waal is 3 kilometers away and the port of Oudeschild and the Wadden Sea are about 5 kilometers away. You can cycle to the extensive North Sea beach on the west coast of Texel in half an hour. The protected nature reserve National Park Duinen van Texel is also located here.

Vele vliegen rondom de woonst. Dit was wel te verwachten omdat de woning was gelegen op een schapen melkerij. Maar er zijn vliegenkloppers genoeg. De gastheer probeert dit wel te minderen door de vliegen eitjes te bestrijden. Voor de rest hebben we weinig last gehad van de schapen. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Prijs/kwaliteit was zeer goed.

Das Haus war etwas schmuddelig, schlecht gepflegt und schlecht geputzt. Die Vermieter haben sich nicht blicken lassen und haben kein Interesse an uns vermittelt. Die Lage ist nicht " in der Nähe", sonder direkt neben den Schafställen, vielkeicht 10m entfernt. Es riecht nach Schaf, massig viele Fliegen, die Schafe brüllen laut.

Texel is a vibrant island. There are many activities throughout the year. Unique sports events, culinary activities to the best music festivals. Of course a visit to famous scenic spots such as the Slufter nature reserve, the Lighthouse and Ecomare are more than worthwhile.
