Van der Valk Hotel Texel is located on the edge of the Dennenbos, which is part of the National Park Dunes of Texel. Close to the beaches of paal 17 and De Koog. If you like peace and relaxation and like to be in nature, this is your place. Various cycling and walking paths run next to the hotel and a MTB path also runs close to De Pelikaan. The nearest village is the popular seaside resort of De Koog. You can easily go there by bike or even on foot. The largest village, Den Burg, is also a short distance (5 km). There are various places of interest in the immediate vicinity.

My name is Derk Langebeek (4th generation of the Van der Valk family) and together with Lisa (van Esch) I moved to beautiful Texel, in connection with the takeover of Hotel de Pelikaan in early 2021. We are extremely proud that we have the have been given the opportunity and confidence to transform the hotel into Van der Valk Hotel Texel-De Koog. After we have both completed hotel school and gained years of experience in various hotels, we can run the first Van der Valk location on the Wadden Islands on beautiful Texel. We are looking forward to a bright future on the Wadden!

Hotel Texel - De Koog is located on the edge of a beautiful pine forest in the National Park Dunes of Texel, within walking distance of the sea. The hotel is close enough to the bustling seaside resort of De Koog to soak up the bustling atmosphere, but also far enough away to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty in peace. My ultimate holiday feeling? Walk through the dunes, to the beach and enjoy the sunset.
