Hotel De Lindeboom is located in a beautiful building from 1891, in the heart of Den Burg. Den Burg is centrally located on the island and the largest village of Texel: about half of the people of Texel live there. It is therefore not surprising that it is a lively village where you can experience everything. The center ring houses clothing shops, small shops with a special assortment, many restaurants and historic buildings, including the striking Schoutenhuys. Hotel De Lindeboom is located on a large square where you can visit the lively weekly market every Monday morning. The Classic Luxe room is located at the front of the 3-star hotel and offers a view of the square. Den Burg is located at the foot of the Hoge Berg nature reserve, the oldest part of the holiday island. In this area you can walk and cycle between typical Texel garden walls and sheep fines.
The Classic Luxe room is equipped with 2 single box-spring beds and a spacious seating area with TV and radio alarm clock. Coffee and tea making facilities are available. The bathroom has a bathtub, shower and toilet.
The room has a balcony.
Free WIFI. There is a hot tub. Rituals beauty products are waiting for you in the bathroom. The room is equipped with individually controlled air conditioning.
Hotel De Lindeboom has two restaurants. The doors of the Brasserie are open all day for you for breakfast, lunch and dinner or a snack. Drinks and food room 't Schoutenhuys offers a nod to the VOC past. The chefs process a variety of spices from the East. The large dishes are served in a small format. Parties, seminars, meetings or other events for up to 700 people can be organized in various rooms.
Due to its central location in the historic center of Den Burg, the hotel does not have sufficient parking space. You must reserve a parking space separately (for a small fee). This can be done by telephone or e-mail.
Upon request you stay in the room with a sofa bed: a cozy place for 2 children.
A rich history, a glimmer of nostalgia and great comfort. De Lindeboom is a three-star hotel in the heart of Den Burg, where hospitality has been the tradition for a long time. The building, dating back from 1891, combines an authentic atmosphere with modern facilities. Take some time out and let the real pleasure begin.
The rooms in Hotel De Lindeboom breathe nostalgia. Every room has a unique layout, formed by the contours of this historical building. It is stylishly decorated with warm colour accents, giving the rooms a classic charisma.
It goes to say that all modern facilities are standard. Individually regulating air-conditioning, free broadband internet, a colour TV with alarm radio, box-spring beds and key card system with dimmer switches create a comfortable stay. Extra luxury can be experienced in the hotel rooms with bubble bath, steam shower cabins and private sauna.
Location of Hotel De Lindeboom
Hotel De Lindeboom lies in the heart of Den Burg, the largest place on Texel. As soon as the shops open there is life on the streets. The centre has clothes shops and even a Hema (general store). There are also smaller shops to discover with an interesting array of goods. On market days the main square in front of De Lindeboom is buzzing with life. Many people who live on Texel and tourists enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace. During the evening Den Burg breathes peace and has a good atmosphere. De Lindeboom is known for attracting culinary lovers.
The Brasserie, with her sunny conservatory, is a culinary meeting place for hotel guests, inhabitants of Texel and tourists. You will quickly feel at home with the wonderful hospitality. The doors are open the whole day for breakfast, lunch and dinner or for a delicious something in between. Our tip: taste the homemade tart with “Ervaring” (Experience), the house liqueur from De Lindeboom.
Drink and Spice room 't Schoutenhuys
On the spot where the schout (sheriff) ate with his companions, is now a characteristic restaurant. The modern kitchen provides a glimpse to the VOC history. The chefs use a range of spices from the East. Eating in the ‘t Schoutenhuys is a definite adventure. We serve the greatest dishes, sized down. “Taste and experience Texel” receives a new dimension.

Tip: The Oudheidkamer. Hotel De Lindeboom is situated in the historic centre of Den Burg. Why not visit the Oudheidkamer (the antiquities room), the smallest museum on Texel? It's the ideal place to discover just how rich the history of Texel's biggest village is. The most impressive objects on display are the letters written by Aagje Luitsen. A resident of Texel, she wrote tens of letters to her husband Hermanus Kikkert. As a VOC officer, he was often away from home for years on end.
