Your holiday home is located on the edge of De Koog, on the west side of Texel. The seaside resort is adjacent to an extensive dune area, forest and farmlands. It is an excellent base for discovering Texel's nature: the De Nederlanden, De Muy and De Slufter nature reserves are in the vicinity. You can enjoy walking and cycling on the wide path from De Nederlanden to De Slufter. Within 5 minutes you cycle to the vast North Sea beach. In the cozy center of De Koog are plenty of shops and restaurants. You can also rent bicycles.

Wat een superleuk huisje! We voelden ons meer dan welkom. Er werd goed met ons meegedacht, aangezien wij een 2jarig kind bij ons hadden. We komen zeker terug!

From Ireland to Texel Island, home from home.

This house near De Koog was very comfortable and homely. Appreciated the Texel cake and coffee when we arrived, tired from our trip from the west of Ireland to Texel! It was quiet, shaded by trees and peaceful — yet close enough to the town to walk for shopping, and of course, the bus. There were plenty of places to explore (we didn't have a car) including much of Texel Duinen and De Waal. We were amazed at how easy it was to reach places just by walking! Birdlife in the area was magnificent, and wildflowers, especially the orchids, great. We were exhausted but very happy on leaving with plenty of memories and photographs. Thank you.

Texel is a vibrant island. There are many activities throughout the year. Unique sports events, culinary activities to the best music festivals. Of course a visit to famous scenic spots such as the Slufter nature reserve, the Lighthouse and Ecomare are more than worthwhile.
