De Koog is located on the west coast of Texel and is a popular seaside resort. Only a forest edge and line of dunes separates the village from the beach. Motel Texel is located on the edge of the forest in De Koog. Your apartment is on the second floor of Motel Texel. Due to the convenient location of your apartment, you can walk to the wide North Sea beach and the pleasant village center with shops and restaurants within minutes. Around De Koog you will find nature areas where you can enjoy the unspoilt nature on foot or by bike. Nature reserve De Nederlanden is located north of the village. In this beautiful dune area you will find the high dune the Bertusnol. A beautiful view awaits you at the top of the dune. If you are on Texel you naturally also want to see seals. You can admire the animals up close at the seal sanctuary Ecomare, 3 km from your apartment.
