Camping Noorderschorren is a real farm campsite, centrally located on the island. It is a small-scale, cozy campsite with 15 places. Each camping spot is equipped with water and electricity and is protected by a hedge and shrubs. In a part of the stable - next to the camping site - is the sanitary with 2 spacious showers, 2 toilets, urinal and washing facilities. In the space above the sanitary building is a kind of living room with games and where you have a view over the cows in the barn.

Location
Camping Noorderschorren is located three kilometers outside Oosterend in polder Het Noorden. Almost in the middle of the island of Texel. Bird watchers end up in a paradise here. The polder is located near the Waddendijk and along the dike are various special nature reserves that form an important breeding and foraging place for countless birds. The nearest village is the characteristic Oosterend, less than 3 kilometers away. Here you will find picturesque streets and alleys with beautiful, old facades. And a butcher, supermarket, restaurants and many attractions. The imposing Maartenskerk is located in the middle of the village. The Texel Zoo, where bird shows are given and many other animals can be seen, is less than 200 meters away on foot.

Special about this accommodation
You can use the washing machine and dryer (for a fee). Towels and tea towels are provided. For the children there is a sandbox, trampoline, playhouse with small slide and pedal tractors. In the meadow next to the house is a horse that loves attention. Children can take a look under the supervision of parents. For the enthusiast, there are also fresh chicken eggs. The owner of the campsite is happy to tell you more about the milking robots and the place where the calves are born. Sometimes - if there is an opportunity - you can go on the tractor. Introduce
Anouk and Martijn are a young couple with a lot of love for people and animals. Hospitality is important to them, as is the care for the animals. Martijn can often be found in the stable with the cows, or on the tractor in the fields. Anouk takes care of the campsite and jumps in when the boys are busy with the cows or the farm work.
Tips from the host
Nice to visit on the Schorrenweg: De Reuze Aardbei where you can get delicious fresh strawberries. A dairy farm where they sell their homemade dairy products from cottage cheese to yogurt and many more delicious milk products.
