Holiday home in traditional Texel style on the edge of the woods
Entrance hall, living room with a sitting area with (smart) TV and a dining area. The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, coffee maker (filter and Dolce Gusto), and an electric kettle. The utility room is located in the outbuilding. Here you'll find a microwave, a bread oven, a food processor, a washing machine, and children's furniture. The bathroom has a shower and a sink. There is a separate toilet with a sink. On the first floor (accessible via an open staircase), you'll find two bedrooms, one with a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and one with two single beds (90 x 200 cm). Pillows and single duvets are provided. The sheltered backyard measures 400 m² and features a terrace with garden furniture. A pergola with a shade cloth provides comfortable shade. The front garden is approximately 300 m² and offers unobstructed views of the meadows. Parking is available on-site.

Detached holiday home 't Seumerhuussie is situated in a quiet location on the edge of the Texel forest, at the end of a dead-end road on the west side of Texel. This green area, part of the Dunes of Texel National Park, offers plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, sports, and playing. From the house, you can cycle through woods and dunes to the expansive North Sea beach in about 10 minutes. The popular beach at Paal 17 is approximately 1 kilometer away. The charming seaside resort of De Koog is only 2.5 kilometers away, and the village of Den Burg is about 3 kilometers away. In the village center of De Koog, you'll find numerous charming shops, terraces, and restaurants. Also nearby are Ecomare, the Calluna swimming paradise, and the Flora beachcombers' museum – all easily accessible on foot or by bike. 't Seumerhuussie offers plenty of peace, space, and privacy, surrounded by greenery yet close to the beach, forest, and village.

How wonderful that you are planning to come to Texel! I am Sigrid Slegh-Collou, born and raised on Texel. After living in other places in the Netherlands and Austria for a few years, I returned to my roots, where I—now with my family—fully enjoy island life. Tips from the host
The offer on our Wadden Island is extensive and it is therefore impossible to name all the gems of the island here. To help you on your way, I have listed a few tips below. But the best advice I can give you: come to Texel, experience, discover and experience the island feeling and before you know it you will also have lost your heart to our island! My gems for you: 1. Knapsack tour from Schapenbedrijf De Waddel 2. Cycle path "behind diek" along the Wadden Sea 3. Ice cream and brownies from Novalishoeve 4. Sales stalls along roads and (bicycle) paths.
