Fond of wine and want to know more about it? Wine is also made on Texel. Wijngaard de Kroon van Texel regularly opens its doors to visitors and organises tours and tastings. Among other things, you will learn more about the origins of the vineyard and the winemaking process. The tour ends well: with a wine tasting with three wines. Opening hours: from May until the end of October every Thursday and Friday from 15:30 - 17:30 and on Saturday from 11:00 - 13:00. Price: €14.00 per person. Wine is not served to under-18s. Wijngaard de Kroon van Texel
Wijngaard de Kroon van Texel is one of the northernmost vineyards in the Netherlands and the only one in the Wadden Sea, which makes the wine special. The origin of the vineyard Wijngaard de Kroon van Texel has 8500 vines with the Johaniter, Solaris, Riesel and Regent grapes. The roots of the company lie in the year 2005. The first 500 grape plants were planted in that year and it has now grown into a fantastic place to walk around, experience and taste. From grape vine to glass of wine Wijngaard de Kroon van Texel offers guided tours and tastings. During a guided tour you will learn everything about the grape varieties. They are also happy to tell you more about the origin of the vineyard, the growth and flowering and the winemaking process. After the tour there will of course be a tasting. Tickets are available via this website, view our agenda via 'What's on'. Please note that wine is not served under the age of 18. Groups of 10 people or more, please make an appointment.
