At Easter, many people like to look for Easter eggs in their gardens or in their homes, but did you know that, here on Texel, we hunt for Easter eggs “in the wild”? Easter is a wonderful time to holiday on Texel! There are plenty of organised activities on the island at Easter, but the real highlights are the Easter egg hunts.
Easter egg hunt in De Koog
Who will find the Golden Egg? On Easter Sunday, all the residents of De Koog and all the visitors hunt for Easter eggs in and around the village. Everybody meets up at Dorpsplein at midday, where children can have their faces painted and pick up bunny-ears to wear. All the activities are free of charge.
Easter egg hunt among the dunes
The Easter Bunny hides eggs among the dunes close to Pole 28 too. The hunt there starts on Easter Sunday at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The Easter Bunny hides the eggs very well, so you need to look carefully! All the activities are free of charge.
Easter egg hunt at Novalishoeve
On Easter Monday, children are welcome between 11.00 a.m. and 02.00 p.m. in the barn at the Novalishoeve. A delicacy as a reward!
